The challenge is to bring the idea of tour into the project. My solution is to bring in live performance therefore transforming the tour into a guided tour.
This is a tour of the three most difficult conversations that you might encounter in your life. However, you live in a world where you have to physically touch someone to talk or to hear. How would you experience the conversations differently when you have to touch the detective (and touched by him/her at the same time) when you are being interrogated as a murder suspect?
Augmented reality: The only way for two person to communicate verbally is to talk while touching each other physically. People need to wear special clothing with embedded wires, sensors, microphones and headsets. A closed circuit is created when two person touch each other therefore opens up an audio channel. It is only when they remain physical connection that they are able to hear and talk to each other.
Tour: As a participant, you will be put though scenarios to experience difficult conversations. These are scenarios where physical interactions are usually to be avoided; however, this is also precisely why the tour is created. The participant will be experience 3 different scenarios:
A: Getting informed of cancer at a doctor’s office
B: Being treated as suspect in a police interrogation room.
C: Getting fired in a manager’s office.
