Toilet Facts
Toilet Facts is a data visualization project. One of the most ubiquitous objects in our daily life deserves an in-depth understanding of its operations. Designed for comfort and hygiene, the modern flush toilet is a remarkable piece of invention. The visualization of the research and engineering behind the American Standard Cadet Pro Elongated Toilet aims to highlight these hidden facts that made what we do daily possible.
The data set consist of three parts: the construction of the toilet, the flushing capability and the general parameters of MaP testing. (The Maximum Performance test uses real material to evaluate the performance of a toilet) The visualization is an interactive 3D environment built with AutoCAD and presented though the AutoCAD iOS app. By presenting the information in a 3D environment, the audience can explore the data set at will while forming their own unique perspective of the subject matter. (they also never loses sight of the physical appearance of the toilet itself.)
